39th Congress of the Italian Society of Criminology
On 15, 16 and 17 October 2026, the University of Siena will host the 39th Congress of the Italian Society of Criminology, entitled “Contemporary Criminology: Science, Theories and Applications”.
The Congress aims to promote critical reflection on the role of contemporary criminology, exploring the links between theoretical reflection and the adoption of sound scientific approaches, with a view to developing reliable knowledge that is genuinely applicable in practical contexts. The three-day programme includes opportunities for collective reflection by the scientific community – such as plenary sessions and pre-arranged panels – as well as more interdisciplinary and dialogue-based sessions – such as round-table discussions, debates with authors and open presentations.
