I luoghi della Memoria
On 27 January 2026, on the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day, "I luoghi della Memoria" will be staged in the historic spaces of the Ca’ Granda. The performance weaves together theatre, testimony, and music to commemorate the victims of Fascist persecution and deportation to Nazi concentration camps.
Inspired by Stefania Consenti’s book Luoghi della Memoria di Milano, the production gives voice to survivors’ stories through the performances of actors from the Piccolo Teatro, accompanied by music performed by musicians from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan. The event transforms remembrance into awareness, responsibility, and collective commitment.
The event is held with the support of the University of Milan and forms part of the city’s broader cultural commitment to historical memory and civic reflection.
