The first issue of The International Journal of Transitional Justice in 2025 features the article “Memorial Justice? Lessons from Colombia on How Memorialization Can Serve Justice in Transitional Contexts” by Carlos Gutiérrez-Rodríguez. The article presents findings from qualitative research conducted in Colombia, which included interviews with victims of the armed conflict. Through their voices, the author analyzes the opportunities and challenges of memorialization as a tool for justice in transitional contexts and highlights the value of active victim participation in promoting peace.
