Youth and the Police: A Study in the San Siro Neighborhood of Milan
On April 16, 2026, at Off Campus San Siro, the event “Giovani e Polizie. Una ricerca nel quartiere San Siro di Milano” [Youth and the Police: A Study in the San Siro Neighborhood of Milan] will take place. The meeting will present the findings of a study conducted by CRIMePO – the Research Center on Criminology and Public Policy at the University of Milan, which explores the relationship between young people and law enforcement in the neighborhood.
The event, organized as part of the PRIN 2022 project “Police and Social Change: The Challenges of Gender and Ethnicity in Contemporary Italy,” will bring together researchers, faculty members, city institutions, and schools to discuss the challenges facing contemporary policing. It offers an open opportunity for the community to reflect and engage in dialogue about safety, youth, and urban transformations.
