Urban Security: The Importance of Prevention

On 30 June 2026, the conference “Urban Security: The Importance of Prevention” will take place in Milan at Palazzo Marino (Sala Alessi), organized by the Italian Forum for Urban Security (FISU).

The event aims to foster discussion on strategies for preventing youth violence and on the role of local policies in promoting urban safety. Bringing together local administrators, scholars, and practitioners, the conference will explore the relationship between security, social cohesion, and educational engagement, highlighting an integrated approach based on knowledge of social problems and preventive intervention. The programme will also include the presentation of FISU’s proposals for preventing youth violence, as well as operational tools designed to support local administrations, including a public awareness campaign and a documentary intended to strengthen educational initiatives in schools and cities.

Participation is free upon registration. Further information is available in the attached flyer.
