Reclaiming (Feminist) Justice: 50 Years after the International Tribunal on Crimes Against Women

2026 will mark fifty years since the International Tribunal on Crimes Against Women, and the initiative “Reclaiming (Feminist) Justice: 50 Years after the International Tribunal on Crimes Against Women” will open its European programme in Rome, on January 16, at Sapienza University of Rome – Aula Chabod. The Roman event will offer a look at forms of justice that take shape beyond institutional boundaries, through the panels “Justice Beyond the State” and “Justice that Prevents, Repairs and Transforms”. It will be followed by an experiential workshop titled “Tools and Narratives for Civic Action: Voices of Migrant Women”.

The event is part of a broader programme that, between January and March, will travel through Rome, Lausanne, Brussels and Antwerp, featuring roundtables, participatory workshops, talks, screenings, artistic performances and moments of collective reflection.
