International Justice Under Attack

“International Justice Under Attack” is a conference taking place on March 19, 2026, at 10:30 AM in the Aula Magna of the University of Milan. The event will examine the role of international criminal justice in addressing war crimes and other serious violations of international law.
The day will open with a lectio magistralis by Fausto Pocar, Emeritus Professor of International Law, followed by institutional greetings from Rector Marina Brambilla, Luca Milani, President of the Milan Board of the National Magistrates Association, and, pending confirmation, Mayor Giuseppe Sala. Experts such as Chantal Meloni, Professor of International Criminal Law, and Raffaele Piccirillo, Deputy Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation, will also speak. The session will be moderated by journalist Danilo De Biasio, Director of the Human Rights Foundation.
