Fighting Antisemitism or Limiting the Right to Criticism?

The event “Fighting Antisemitism or Limiting the Right to Criticism?”, taking place on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the University of Milan (Via Festa del Perdono 7, Room 410), offers critical tools to analyze current political developments in Italy, with particular attention to the draft law under discussion aimed at strengthening the fight against antisemitism. In an international context marked by conflicts and tensions, the event provides an opportunity to reflect on the most effective strategies to combat all forms of discrimination against ethnic and religious minorities while safeguarding freedom of expression and democratic values.

Speakers include Alessandra Galluccio (University of Milan) and Valentina Pisanty (University of Bergamo), with the introduction and moderation by Grazia Callipari and Laura Giovinazzi from the UniMi Coordination for Palestine.

For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be available via live streaming. For information: coordinamentounimi@gmail.com
